About Cary

Cary represents individuals and management in employment disputes involving federal and state employment statutes, as well as those involving the National Labor Relations Act. Before partnering with Jackie and Alex at Lee Meier, Cary was a Partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of the leading management-side labor and employment firms in the United States.

Because Cary has learned the playbook cover to cover (and also actually wrote parts of it — he’s a published Chapter Editor of the Developing Labor Law and How to Bring a Case Before the NLRB), he can anticipate what’s coming from the management bar. He also leverages his extensive experience before the National Labor Relations Board to spot issues and claims that other attorneys miss, or leverage those proceedings to enhance the value of his clients’ claims.

Cary also wields his deep knowledge of labor law to help employers look around corners and sidestep any potential issues before they spin out of control. He’s a pragmatic, savvy counsellor who stays laser-focused on the client’s goals.

Cary regularly speaks and writes on cutting-edge issues in the traditional labor space and has put significant time into thinking through how those changes can benefit his clients. He’s a highly-sought out presenter because he’s engaging, funny, and remembers to act like a human when holding a microphone.

Since 2019, Super Lawyers has recognized Cary as a “Rising Star” in employment law, an honor bestowed on only five percent of lawyers under 40 years of age. And for the past three years, Cary has been named “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers. Cary has also received several awards from the Georgia Bar for outstanding service to his fellow attorneys.

Outside of Lee Meier, Cary and his wife Anne-Marie live in the Lake Claire neighborhood with their two boys, Beckett and Porter. If the family isn’t at the pool or Anne’s parent’s house, they’re at Piedmont Park, Shake Shack, or an indoor playground. Cary is a big Dawgs fan, has scuba dove (dived?) through sunken ships, and hopes to live long enough to see Arsenal Football Club win the Premier League.
